ABOUT THE U.S. BANK CHAMPIONSHIP IN MILWAUKEE
The U.S. Bank Championship is a one-week PGA TOUR event ‘you gotta see.’ Golf fans and non-fans alike can experience the thrill of seeing the pros up-close at the region’s only annual PGA TOUR stop.
In 2008, the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee will host its 41st annual tournament - from Monday, July 14 to Sunday, July 20 - and feature new events, exhibits and activities in addition to the always great golf. The U.S. Bank Championship is part of the new PGA TOUR FedExCup competition which runs from January through August and establishes the seeding for the PGA TOUR Playoffs to determine the FedExCup Champion.
Since 1994, the U.S. Bank Championship has been played at Brown Deer Park Golf Course. Milwaukee County’s flagship course, it opened for play in July of 1929. Designed by George Hansen, a long-time park superintendent who designed five of Milwaukee County’s 15 courses, Brown Deer has long attracted national attention from both the public and golfers.
LOCAL BUSINESS
The U.S. Bank Championship offers many unique opportunities for local businesses of all sizes to reach out to the community. Area organizations are able to customize their venue; offerings include single-day tickets, reserved seats at the 18th hole to lunch buffets and climate-controlled hospitality areas. The tournament’s two Pro-Ams - Aurora Health Care and U.S. Bank Championship - allow executives to treat clients to the thrill of playing golf with a PGA TOUR pro.
