From Sam Snead, a winner on the PGA TOUR a record 81 times, to Tiger
Woods, a rookie playing his first event as a professional, the greatest
players in the game of golf have made Milwaukee home for one week
during each of the past 41 years.  With the first network broadcast in
1989, the expansion of the Corporate Village in 1991, the addition of the
hospitality opportunities at the 18th green in 1994, the U.S. Bank
Championship has shown tremendous growth over the course of its
history.

Richard S. Johnson's victory at the 2008 U.S. Bank Championship was his
first on the PGA TOUR.  Johnson shot a 64, the lowest final-round score by
a winner in U.S. Bank Championship history, and did so in dramatic
fashion with birdies on 3 of his last 4 holes.  On Thursday, he recorded an
ace on the par 3 14th hole, which was made famous when Tiger Woods
achieved the same result in 1996 .  Johnson, 31, a native of Sweden
became the 5th international player to win the U.S. Bank Championship
and it vaulted him into the 2008 FedExCup Playoffs.

In 2007, the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee entered a new era
with its 40th annual event, becoming part of the new PGA TOUR
FedExCup competition.  The FedExCup Regular Season runs from the
beginning of January through the middle of August and establishes the
seeding for the PGA TOUR Playoffs.  The Playoffs consist of four events
that determine the season-long FedExCup champion.

With a scheduled date just five weeks prior to the conclusion of the
FedExCup Regular Season, the U.S. Bank Championship plays an
important role in the competition as players try to earn as high a ranking
as possible as they point toward the playoffs.  This annual summer-time
tradition would not exist if not for the tremendous support of the
volunteers.  The U.S. Bank Championship has a long tradition of an
outstanding volunteer crew and we sincerely appreciate your support in
2009.
