42nd U.S. Bank Championship
July 13 -19, 2009
Title Sponsor of the
2009 U.S. Bank Championship

Birdies for Charity is a program that gives participating charities the
opportunity to raise funds based on the number of birdies made in the
U.S. Bank Championship. 100% of the funds raised go to the
participating charities. The U.S. Bank Championship covers all
administrative and promotional costs of this program.
This program gives local charities the opportunity to raise money for
their organization. Birdies for Charity receives contributions through
pledges of $.01 or more per birdie, or through a flat, $20 donation.
Pledges can be made on Birdies for Charity brochures received from
participating charities.
Participants who pledge or donate money are eligible for the Guess the
Birdies Contest. The individual who guesses the exact number of birdies
made in the 2009 U.S. Bank Championship will be eligible to win the
Grand Prize. All individuals who participate in the Guess the Birdies
Contest will be eligible for other prizes (all prizes have yet to be
decided on.)
For example, last year, John Smith pledged $.01
per birdie. The PGA TOUR Pros at last year’s U.S.
Bank Championship chipped in a total of 1,249
birdies. They also scored 25 eagles, which count for
2 birdies each. That means Mr. Smith’s total
donation equaled $12.99.
